XIII School of Strategic Management of Polish Rectors Foundation
From 19 to 22 May 2013 there the XIII School of Strategic Management for Chancellors and Bursars/Financal Directors was organised by the Polish Rectors Foundation. The co-organizer of this school was the Institute of Knowledge Society. Meetings and lectures took place in the Congress Centre hotel "Czarny Potok" in Krynica Zdrój. The project was realized in compliance with the guidelines of the Program of Permanent Projects of competence building of staff responsible for administering and/or managing HEIs.
Sixty representatives from thirty-three universities participated in this meeting. The agenda of the School included 6 sessions of lectures and 3 panel debates:
- The questions related with public tenders
- The questions about financial programmes from the European Union
- Management of higher education institution
The special guests included: Prof. W. Banyś - the President of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, J. Sadowy - the President of the Public Procurement Office, Prof. A. Hołda - the specialist from the Cracow University of Economics, the representatives from the Managing Department for Competitiveness and Innovation Programmes of the Ministry of Regional Development, M. Gula - the President of the Institute of Accounting and Taxes. The average grade of the school for chancellors and bursars/financal directors based on evaluation forms completed by the participants was 4,3 (in the scale from 1 to 5).
